Do you enjoy good instrumental projects? If you do, Shelton Bissell's project titled "Country Gospel Sax" is a must have! The project includes twelve familiar hymns done in a country gospel style by some very talented musicians. Of course, the project features the sax playing of Shelton Bissell!

"Where Could I Go But To The Lord" gets the ball rolling and really leads the way for the other great songs. "Unclouded Day" is the next song and you will really enjoy the up tempo beat on this one! "Sweet Beulah Land" is next and this is a beautiful instrumental of this tremendous song. The great old hymn "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" is next!

"Great Speckled Bird" is next and I would surmise that it has been close to 25 years since I have heard that song. One of my favorite hymns is "In The Garden" and that is the next song on the project. The great Ira Stanphill classic, "Mansion Over The Hilltop" is next and another beautiful job. This is followed up with a terrific effort on another of my favorites, "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus."

Next up is a wonderful medley including "Will The Circle be Unbroken," "I'll Fly Away" and "I Saw The Light." One of the greatest songs for those going through a trial is "Farther Along" and you will enjoy Shelton's version of it. A Bill and Gloria Gaither classic is next with "He Touched Me." The project wraps up with the great old song, "Old Time Religion."

Shelton is joined by Nashville Pickers on this project and the end result is really a great instrumental project. Shelton is obviously very talented and this a project that you will enjoy if you enjoy instrumental projects. My favorites from the project are "In The Garden," "Mansion Over The Hilltop" and "Unclouded Day." How good is the project? I listened to it three times in a row before I took it out of my player!
